Italy

Our second big trip as a couple was to Italy for our honeymoon!!

This is what we had to look forward to!

This is what we had to look forward to!

We flew out for our honeymoon the day after our wedding. Talk about stressful!

Not only did we have to pack for our trip back home {for our wedding}, but we also had to pack for our 12 day trip to Italy.

Packing the car to head to the airport for our honeymoon!

However, the 13 hour flight gave us more than enough time to unwind and chat about the fun memories we had from the night prior our wedding. It was definitely worth it and I would do it all again in a second, if I had the chance!

This was our trip itinerary:

September 17-20: Varenna, Lake Como

Lake Como, Italy

 September 20-22: Castelrotto (The Dolomites)

September 22-24: Florence, Italy

September 24-25: Monterosso, Cinque Terre

September 25-26: Vernazza, Cinque Terre

(however we spent most of our time in Manorola)

September 26-28: Montepulciano, Tuscany

September 28-29: Rome, Italy

We realized that the places we favored the most were not-so-touristy ones. We actually ended up staying in Tuscany a day longer and cut a day off of our trip to Rome. I probably could have done Florence in a day and added another day onto our stay in Castelrotto. It’s really a personal preference, but we soon came to realize we enjoy the beautiful scenery, rather than the crowds.
